Purpose of Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in supporting senior counsel and independently handling complex commercial litigation matters. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing strategic legal advice, conducting thorough research, and representing clients in various stages of litigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and support senior counsel.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, Orders to Show Cause, and other pleadings.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and appeals.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions.
  • Effectively communicate with courts, clients, and adversaries.
  • Stay abreast of relevant legal developments, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the highest quality of legal representation.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in NJ and/or NY.
  • Minimum 5+ years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management-based software.
  • Knowledge of electronic digital documentation and e-discovery matters.
  • Intrinsically motivated, self-starter with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and advice.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills required for this role, along with outstanding academic credentials.
