Position Overview:

The Plater I is responsible for electroplating CAD or Zinc on metallic surfaces using multiple processing tanks for cleaning, electroplating, chromating, and stripping customer-supplied parts per multiple specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn the basics of Electroplating and how it is performed (tanks included)
• Learn the types of materials that will be plated (Stainless steel, Low Alloy steel, Aluminum alloys, etc.)
• Learn the methods for stripping parts or racks
• Learn how to use the basic inspection equipment
• Clean-up work area

Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend English
• Ability to calculate basic mathematical computations
• Ability to solve practical process or procedural problems/issues
• Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail

May Require:

• Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (eg Respirators, Hearing Protection, Chemical Resistant Clothing, Safety Shoes, etc).

Shift Schedules:

1st shift: 6:45am - 3:00pm
