Job Title: Block Production

Location: Dunlap, IA
Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday - hours may very pending on business needs
Salary: Minimum Starting Pay: $18.50/hr

We are currently seeking a diligent and skilled Block Production Operator to join our dynamic team at our Dunlap, IA Facility. This position is key to maintaining the high standards of our feed production process.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Feed Production: Operate block cooker and cooling equipment to produce block feeds according to specific formulations, ensuring compliance with feed safety and quality standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Manage both automated and manual equipment, including pumps, pre-mix addition systems, and routing systems, following established procedures.
  • Maintenance: Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on plant facilities and equipment to reduce downtime and ensure efficient operation.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and operational guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations related to feed formulations and equipment operations.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of lifting up to 55 pounds regularly and working at elevated heights as needed.
  • Experience: Previous experience in feed production or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with operating automated and manual equipment, including pumps and routing systems.
  • Maintenance Skills: Ability to perform basic preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and facilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on feed safety, quality control, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and address issues to minimize production disruptions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certification or training in feed production or equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of feed formulation and quality control processes.
