Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, office admin/management, and treatment coordinators to drive patient care and a high level of customer service at all time
  • Performs sterilization procedures following protocols set in accordance with established guidelines
  • Prepares dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines
  • Obtains diagnostic records ordered by a licensed dentist including intra-oral scans/photos and alginate impressions
  • Prepares tray set-ups for dental procedures
  • Provides patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist
  • Creates entries in patients' medical records as directed by the treating dentist
  • Provides patient education including care instructions
  • Performs basic dental lab duties including the fabrication of Essix retainers
  • Prepares and documents lab cases ensuring timely delivery
  • Must complete assigned educational courses in a timely manner
  • Embrace a flexible approach by handling miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

We have several options for our Dental Assistants in NJ, as outlined below. Please note the quoted pay scale is representative of our RDA position, and you may fall within a different pay range based on qualifications and experience.

  • Registered Dental Assistant
    • Licensed by NJ State Board of Dentistry as a RDA
  • Limited RDA-Ortho (LRDA-O) w/ Radiography
    • Must be licensed by NJ State Board of Dentistry as LRDA-O
    • Licensed as DRT by NJ Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners
  • Dental Assistant w/ Radiography
    • Licensed as DRT by NJ Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners
    • ~3,000 hours of experience in Dental Assisting or
    • Currently enrolled in dental assisting program
