POSITION: SECURITY LIEUTENANT

WAGE: $52,000/YR.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for monitoring, overseeing, and administering the day-to-day operations for the assigned shift while exhibiting excellent Guest service to all Cliff Castle Casino Hotel Team Members and Guests. Ensures all Team Members and Guest comply with all Tribal, State, Federal and Casino regulations and policies. Properly executing Security duties on assigned shift to adequately protect welfare of Guests, Team Members, Vendors and Casino property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Protect assigned areas, including patrolling, observing and reporting of unusual, dangerous, illegal or suspicious activities.

· Execute emergency management and contingency plans as applicable.

· Prepare and review thorough and accurate report writing of internal, illegal, or injury related matters, escorts of money, and other important documentation as required.

· Supervise Security Officers on assigned shift, maintain adequate staff levels, train, schedule, monitor, evaluate, and correct performance, prepare performance evaluations.

· Ensure officers are patrolling effectively to provide a safe environment for Guest, Team Members, and property.

· Oversee the mentorship and development of all officers and Supervisors on assigned shift.

· Ensure all policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable laws are enforced.

· Review all reports for accuracy, the collection of information as necessary and assist in identifying potential evidence to be turned over to law enforcement.

· Safely operate company vehicles when directed to do so.

· Facilitate pre-shifts and the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.

· Effectively communicate with other shift managers on a consistent basis to maintain a positive working environment and prevent potential conflicts.

· Respond to emergency incidents in a professional and timely manner and take the lead when applicable, de-escalate tense situations with Guests and Team Members, and ensure proper and appropriate handling by CCCH and adequate documentation is recorded.

· Perform all duties of the Sergeant.

· Provide excellent Guest Service.

· Security Supervisors and above are strongly encouraged to improve annually in leadership, supervisory and security skills. This may be completed through in-house development courses, outside courses or documented self-development courses.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Education:

a. High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience, required.

b. A degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field preferred.

2. Work Experience:

a. 3-5 years’ experience in Security, Law Enforcement, or Military preferred.

b. Casino Security a plus.

c. Five years supervisory experience, preferred.

3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

a. Able to communicate clearly both verbally and written.

b. Good organizational and planning skills.

c. Present self in a well-groomed, professional appearance.

d. Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

e. Computer literate in Word and Excel.

4. Professional Licenses & Certifications Requirements:

a. Able to pass a Title 4 background check per ARS 4-112.G (12)

b. Certified in CPR/First aid license within 180 days of hire and maintain.

5. Be at least 18 years of age.

6. Able to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.

7. Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.

8. Adhere to the Department's Code of Ethics.
