If you’re enthusiastic and motivated with a friendly demeanor and have the ability to work well in a team environment, you’ll fit right into this host/hostess role Excellent communication skills and a warm, courteous manner are needed for speaking with guests, answering phone inquiries, and making accurate reservations.


One of your key duties will be to meet and greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and walk them to their seats. Compensation:

$5 hourly + tips

Responsibilities:
  • Lead all guests to their seats, ensuring they all have a place to sit, proper glass and tableware, filled water glasses, and menus
  • Acknowledge all customers warmly immediately upon arrival to ensure their first impression of the restaurant is positive
  • Respond to phone inquiries professionally and secure reservations while ensuring all seating issues are quickly and efficiently handled
  • Help clear and wipe down tables and set up tables with utensils and glassware for the next party
  • Check the dining room constantly for cleanliness and organization and restock condiments on the table as necessary
Qualifications:
  • For this position, a high school diploma or the equivalent GED is needed, as well as a good understanding of how to speak and read English
  • Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently
  • Adapt easily to working in a fast-paced team environment with long hours of standing on feet and moving around
  • Knowledge of the food and beverage industry and/or hospitality industry is appreciated but not a requirement
