GiaCare Inc. is now accepting resumes for experienced, civilian Neurology Technicians to work alongside the 96th Medical Group in support of Eglin Air Force Base (Florida).


Requirements

Degree/Education: Must have a current certificate/diploma from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited institution or military training school.

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) AND be board-certified by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies and/or Nerve Conduction Studies or Evoked Potentials.

Experience: A minimum of 12 months within the past 24 months. Must have previous experience in the treatment of traumatic brain injury.

*At least one year of either supervisory or trainer experience in a Neurology Lab (civilian or military)

Duties:

  • Screen, obtain vital signs, checks in patients, and escorts patients to treatment areas. Accurately prepares room & patient for examinations, therapeutic measures and procedures assuring all needed equipment and supplies are available prior to the start of the exam.


  • Performs or assists with the performance of specialized testing and examinations to include, but not limited to, electroencephalograms, nerve conduction tests, and evoked potential tests.
  • Triages urgent needs
  • Coordinates patient care with community health agencies and social programs. Facilitates continuity of care. Has knowledge of a wide variety of resource agencies available in the military treatment system to ensure proper and expedient referral of the patient and/or family member.
