Director of Engineering

Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities within the organization. Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with Cemen Tech's established policies and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, the person will:
- Plan, coach, develop and direct the work of highly skilled engineers and staff to achieve the development and support of differentiated world class products and technologies.
- Advise, guide, direct and authorize the engineering team to carry out major plans and procedures— ensure schedule attainment, product development process adherence, performance and budget targets are met.
- Develop engineering policies, processes, procedures, and standards to allow the development and sustainment of products across multiple sites around the globe.
- Design world class new products to meet cost, reliability, and performance criteria from concept through testing and full production; following a gated product development process.
- Review operating results of the organization, compare them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
- Manage engineering, drafting, change control and EPDM transition to ensure records, drawings and test reports are organized and up to date.
- Manage routine product testing and issue reports outlining results; ensure all product complies with approval agency requirements, and obtain approvals where needed.
- Establish new product innovation schedule in accordance with business market needs and priorities to continue to drive market leadership position.
- Interact with key customer partners’ to understand their operational needs/desires and translate into critical customer requirements.
- Act as the interface between customers and the design team on requirements and improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Passport and an ability to travel internationally are required. 20% travel can be expected.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; with a minimum of ten years of product engineering experience is required; Master’s degree in Engineering or PE is a plus.
- Ability/experience in managing and leading a diverse group of engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of controls software, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems related to mobile equipment. Knowledge of pumps, bearings, flowmeters, augers, metallurgy, welding and lean manufacturing systems.
- Strong business acumen skills, a key member of Corporate Leadership Team.
- Technical skills, such as previous Pro E, AutoCAD and Solid Works experience.
