Fort Benton, Montana is home to IND HEMP's two processing facilities: one dedicated to the processing of hemp oilseed and the other focused on industrial hemp fiber products. Each operation is purpose-build to provide industrial hemp food, feed and fiber products across a variety of applications and industries while providing our farmers with multiple revenue stream and contract production opportunities.
Position Description:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks pertaining to operations and maintenance in IND HEMP's Fiber and Oilseeds processing facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with and perform routine and preventative maintenance for production equipment and mechanical systems, and mobile machinery.
- Assist with and perform repair of facilities structures, systems, and components, including minor building repairs including electrical systems.
- Track, maintain, and schedule maintenance and production details and repairs.
- Maintain a working knowledge of machinery, processes, and quality requirements.
- Understands and adheres to safety procedures and policies.
- Understands plant operations, both for fiber and oilseeds.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance and operational issues.
- Champion safety initiatives.
- Report maintenance or operational concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to take direction.
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to adapt and learn new things.
- Self-starter that can work with minimal instruction.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
