The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia is searching for our next HR Assistant to join our Human Resources department The HR Assistant will be responsible for supporting the human resources team and other teams in our administration building. In this role, you will be part of a group of committed HR professionals where you can utilize your education and experiences to make a real impact as we continue to grow as an agency.
Essential Job Functions
- Supports the HR team by scheduling meetings and appointments, administering drug screens, answering HR-related inquiries, and escalating more complex issues to the appropriate senior HR team member
- Consistently monitoring the HR team’s in-office and electronic mailboxes, responding in a timely manner
- Maintains supplies for the HR department and other administrative departments as needed
- Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of human resources files and records
- Providing clerical and administrative support to other administrative departments as needed
- Assists with tasks related to New Employee Orientation
- Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organizational-wide meetings, employee engagement, and other special events
- Assists the Talent Acquisition team with scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, and processing new hire paperwork
- Handles the pre-boarding process for new hires, including but not limited to drug screenings, background checks, and ID badge creation, ensuring timely onboarding for all new hires
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED required, bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred
- Currently HR Certification or Willingness to obtain in the future is a plus
- 1-2 years of administrative work experience required (previous HR experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products required
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and tact
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and with little or no supervision
- Understanding of HR functions and best practices
- Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
*Final pay will be based on a combination of education and experience*
Work Shift:
Monday - Friday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
