Wilkes University invites applicants to apply for an open SAT/ACT Language & Reading high school level teaching position in the Upward Bound program. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio program, which provides support to high school students in career exploration and their preparation for college; ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.

The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the academic component of the program by means of assisting 11th Grade students in their preparation for the SAT and ACT Language and Reading sections. A Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field is required.

Program dates run from September 26th through December 12th. Classes are held on Thursday nights from 6:30 PM - 8:20 PM. The candidate will be responsible for a single, one hour, period. This is a part-time, temporary position with a competitive hourly rate.
