Our main shop is located at 5858 W Riggs Road, Chandler, AZ 85226. This position is in the field, working at the Intel site, but could be subject to change (may be required to travel). 


Job Summary:

The General Foreman - Electrical oversees and coordinates the work of electrical teams on construction sites or maintenance projects. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and work plans.
    • Coordinate daily work activities and schedules for electrical crews.
    • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and in good condition.
  2. Supervision and Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise a team of electricians and electrical helpers.
    • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
    • Conduct regular meetings to communicate project status, goals, and safety updates.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Inspect work for compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
    • Address and resolve any quality issues or defects promptly.
    • Ensure all installations and repairs are performed correctly and efficiently.
  4. Safety Management:
    • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
    • Conduct safety meetings and training sessions regularly.
    • Identify and mitigate potential hazards on the job site.
  5. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Monitor project budgets and control costs effectively.
    • Manage the use of materials, tools, and equipment to prevent waste.
    • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project manager.
  6. Communication:
    • Maintain clear and open communication with project managers, clients, and other trades.
    • Address any client concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
    • Document and report any changes or issues that may affect project timelines or costs.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Technical training or certification in electrical systems is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction methods.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
  • Certifications:
    • Journeyman or Master Electrician license is preferred.
    • OSHA safety certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily on construction sites, both indoors and outdoors.
  • May require travel to different job sites.
