We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our telemetry unit. The RN in this role will be responsible for providing direct patient care to adult patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring. The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on telemetry, identifying any abnormal patterns or life-threatening arrhythmias.
  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to patients with various medical conditions, particularly those with cardiovascular issues. Administer medications, perform assessments, and implement care plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient status, care provided, and any changes in condition using the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health.
  • Emergency Response: Respond quickly to changes in patient condition, initiating emergency interventions as needed.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in telemetry, critical care, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency in cardiac monitoring, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Working Conditions:
  • Environment: Fast-paced hospital setting with exposure to patients with various medical conditions.
  • Shifts: Full-time, part-time, and per diem positions available. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, and the ability to lift/move patients as necessary.
