Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining excavators to facilitate various construction projects. The individual must demonstrate proficiency in safely maneuvering equipment, following project plans, and adhering to industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and control excavators to perform tasks such as digging, trenching, loading, and backfilling.
- Interpret construction plans and follow specifications to ensure precise excavation.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.
- Collaborate with the construction team to achieve project goals efficiently.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an excavator operator in a construction or similar setting
- Proficiency in maneuvering excavators and understanding technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret construction plans.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations regarding heavy equipment operation
- Physical capability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to lift up to 24 lbs.; occasionally 25-34 lbs.; rarely over 50 lbs.
- Walk & balance on uneven ground.
- Accurately judge distances and have good and-eye-foot coordination.
