JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the designated supervisor, performs duties related to the admission of students, in accordance with Academy and Department policies.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a resource to prospective students, parents, and the community regarding the school and the admission process.
Interprets admissions policies and procedures and responds to general questions about campus life, academic programs, and the admission process and requirements.
Prepares for and executes student shadow days.
Works collaboratively with the marketing and communication teams.
Works with the team to coordinate appropriate follow-up with prospective families - phone calls, emails, connecting appropriate faculty and coaches, etc.
Keeps track of applicants throughout the admissions process.
Schedules and assigns tours with prospective families.
Assists the Associate Director in planning and preparing for admission events.
Communicates daily with faculty and current students regarding shadows, hosts and schedules.
Drives development of parent ambassador program for school.
Well-versed in all aspects of Gilmour Academy - including mission, curriculum, programming, athletics, etc.
Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in some area of student affairs or prior Admissions experience - preferred
Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments and work under pressure.
Must have strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to travel and work irregular and flexible hours.
Familiarity with online computer systems
