Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time RECOVERY COUNSELOR for our HANNIBAL MISSOURI - COMMUNICATIONS DRIVE location.  This is an in-office position.  This full-time salaried position offers competitive pay and full benefits.  Consider joining our MTBH Team  We offer a supportive culture of appreciation and a strong emphasis on the health and wellbeing of our team.


 Role Responsibilities


  • Provide treatment services to Consumers and maintain clincial record according to standards
  • Conduct Consumer screening, intake and orientation
  • Complete comprehensive substance use assessment and clinical reviews
  • Maintain assigned caseload with a schedule for sessions and engage with consumers at frequency indicated by their current level of care
  • Make referrals to appropriate agencies to meet Consumer and/or family needs
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team planning to discuss pertinent clinical and management issues
  • Provide individual treatment, group treatment, aftercare services, and other services as assigned by the Clinical Director or Program Director
  • When asked and trained, provide clinical supervision for MAACD I/II applicants


Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.


 Qualifications


  • Recognized as a Qualified Substance Use Professional or Recognized Substance Use Professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board
  • Two (2) years of responsible professional experience in the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse
  • Maintain qualified status
