POSITION SUMMARY:


Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness, the LPC-Associate or LMSW-
Associate: provides mental health counseling services for individuals, families, and couples regarding
psychological or emotional issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, trauma or family situations; develops and
implements therapeutic treatment plans in an outpatient setting; participates in and contributes to team case
reviews and therapeutic collaborations; and other duties as assigned.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Conducts counseling sessions with clients, and follow-up consultations and debriefings with supervisor;
● Observes, trains in, and facilitates group process in the Battering Intervention and Prevention Program
(BIPP);
● Provide supervision with child and non-custodial parent in Supervised Visitations;
● Support supervisor with data management, compilation, analysis, as requested;
● Provide program support, engage in community events and fundraising;
● Support current processes, develop forms and documentation to improve current systems;
● Data input and data management in client data systems;
● Performs other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
● Has earned a Master’s Degree from an accredited university with a major in a Social Work, Psychology,
Counseling or other Human Services field;
● Is currently licensed as an Associate with a Texas LPC-Associate or LMSW and under supervision with
an approved, licensed LPC-Supervisor or LCSW-Supervisor, either within FSS or outside FSS;
● Knowledge of office programs and equipment;
● Engaging and friendly behavior;
● Understanding and commitment to confidentiality
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
● Physical capability to work in an office environment;
● Ability to hear speak English clearly. Mastery of Spanish is a benefit to FSS and clients.
