Assistant Superintendent

Job Requirements:

• Proficient at reading and understanding blueprints.
• Supervise all phases of the construction process.
• Resolve conflicts with the superintendent to avoid delays.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Responsible for all day-to day jobsite activities including subcontractor management, safety, inspections, and client/owner relationships.
• Ensures that construction work meets plans and specifications.
• Ensures all warranty issues are identified, documented, and resolved in a timely manner.
• Assist with project close-out including certificate of occupancies, punch list management.
• Markets the company to the owner and architectural team; engages the business development department in pursuing future opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedules.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of established construction means and methods.
• Understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees.
• Thorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitask.
• Computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and Procore.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Superintendent will have Experience of commercial construction projects with knowledge of hotels and multifamily.
• Post-tension construction experience, especially post-tension parking garages.
• OSHA 10 recommended
