Floating Hospital Staff Pharmacist

Floating Hospital Staff Pharmacist Position Available in the Macon/Warner Robins area with about a 2 hour travel radius. This position will be around 30-40 hours per week.  

•  Monday-Friday.  Dayshift only. One weekend per month required. 
• Additional weekend work available if desired 
• Some retail work required

• Travel:  Mileage reimbursement included and incentive pay. Additional opportunities may be available outside the approximate 2 hour radius if desired
• No specific/hospital experience required 

Job Description:

Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation. Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand. Interprets physician medication orders. Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties. Responsible for supervising technicians on duty during shift.

Ability to represent the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner; ability to maintain customer confidentiality at all times; ability to comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices; ability to exercise judgment; ability to interact with all types of people; ability to maintain remain professional in all situations; ability to use time effectively. Utilizes pharmaceutical equipment to include automated dispensing machines, Laminar Flow Hoods and compounding equipment.
