Job DescriptionJob DescriptionInfraHire is looking for a CNC Machinist in Elwood, KS.Job Description:
Serve as the intermediary between the Engineering and Production departments, adeptly resolving a broad spectrum of issues in both new and ongoing production runs. This entails leveraging comprehensive expertise in programming, CNC operation, tooling, and workholding with innovative precision.
  • Develop, adjust, and enhance CNC programs using Gibbs CAD/CAM software.
  • Design, adjust, and enhance workholding solutions for intricate, multi-step small components.
  • Modify programs and make necessary adjustments (e.g., tool offsets) to both new and established job files on the machine.
  • Capable of setting up CNC Mills and Lathes, including conducting first article inspection. This involves tasks such as boring jaws, reviewing and confirming program and blueprints, and assembling and installing tools.
  • Verify parts through measurements, initial part runs, and sample workpieces.
  • Interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and other technical data to determine operational procedures, and possess knowledge of required manufacturing sequences and machining methods.
  • Operate equipment at a level that meets or exceeds quality and efficiency standards specified on the traveler.
  • Monitor cutting tools in machine spindle and inform supervisor of any tool wear or tolerance issues.
