Gittleman Construction & Maintenance Corporation, provides construction and maintenance services to condominiums, townhomes and single family homes in the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. This position will provide a gas card, vehicle, health insurance, and profit sharing among other benefits. Successful candidates will have:

  • General handyman experience
  • Drywall repair, taping and painting experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean background and DMV record
  • Willingness to work some on-call shifts (roughly every 7-9 weeks)

The General Maintenance position serves residents primarily in the downtown area. Training is provided. Experience navigating job-board technology is a plus. You may drive your company-provided vehicle home daily. Compensation is based on experience and work hours are somewhat flexible.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work rotating after hours "On-Call" shifts
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours each workday
  • Ability to adjust, lift, push, and pull heavy objects a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and balance regularly
  • Ability to do ladder/step work which would include carrying ladders, scaffolding, and walking up/down stairs
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment
  • Must maintain safety procedures at all times to prevent work injuries
