Job Summary:

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of industrial machinery and equipment within our facility. This role involves conducting regular inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and implementing preventative maintenance measures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, including but not limited to Motors, Vacuum Systems, Hydraulic systems, and Pneumatic systems, High Temp Ovens, and Water filtration.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Repair Work: Execute repairs on malfunctioning equipment, replacing defective parts, adjusting settings, and ensuring proper functionality to minimize production disruptions.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and prolong lifespan, including lubrication, calibration, and component replacement.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status, utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other relevant documentation tools.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance activities, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with production manager and Capital Improvement Team to schedule maintenance tasks during optimal downtime periods, communicating effectively to minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the maintenance workflow, proposing and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to junior technicians or operators regarding equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualification and Skills/Minimum Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician or similar role, with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • 3-5 Years maintenance mechanic experience
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, including motors, pumps, vacuum systems, and PLC systems.
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to aid in equipment diagnostics and repairs.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices and techniques to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed to support production schedules and emergency maintenance situations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work primarily takes place within an industrial manufacturing environment, involving exposure to loud noises, moving machinery, and various weather conditions.
  • May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, or in environments with dust, fumes, or chemicals.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be provided and must be worn as necessary to mitigate risks.
