Position: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Unit (CCU)

Location: 441 North Wabash Ave, Marion, IN 46952

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night Shift, 4x12-Hour (18:00 - 07:00)

Overview: As a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Unit (CCU), you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. You will work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in the Critical Care Unit.
  2. Monitoring and interpreting patient vital signs and clinical data, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition promptly.
  3. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Providing patient and family education regarding the patient's condition, treatment plan, and post-discharge care.
  5. Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  6. Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
  7. Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  8. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice and professional development.
  9. Demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  10. Adhering to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice and promoting patient advocacy and autonomy.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
  2. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required.
  3. Minimum of one year of recent experience in critical care nursing preferred.
  4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  7. Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  8. Commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to critically ill patients.
