Microsoft .Net Core Developer (Hybrid Role - PA)

Summary: Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Developer Engineer (Microsoft .Net Core Developer)  Consultant to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence at least three days a week.

Key Responsibilities, Technical Skills, experience and qualifications:

      • Minimum 7-9 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and supporting multiple mission critical web and windows applications using application/data security best practices and following programming languages/technologies is a MUST.
      • ASP.NET (4.7+) with MVC and/or Razor pages, C#, .Net Core 3+ and/or .Net 6 Programming
      • Experience with Production Control/support process and best practices and enterprise job scheduling tools like UC4 Automic is a plus
      • Experience upgrading ASP.NET applications to .Net 6 and above is a plus
      • HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, Bootstrap, Angular JS/6+
      • RESTful APIs and SOAP Services 
      • Some experience with VB.Net and sound understanding of MSMQ services
      • Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming and batch processing
      • Experience interfacing with enterprise application systems like Oracle C2M and Oracle Financial, ESRI/GIS is a plus
      • Customer focus, creative problem solving, and interpersonal skills is a MUST
      • Experience working with custom software solutions and customer programs for the utilities industry is a plus. 
      • Experience with python programming.

 Other Job Specification :

  • Employment Type: W2, no C2C (Only U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents  or TN Visa candidates eligible to work with us on W2 are eligible to apply)
  • Client: Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW)
  • Contracting Period: 12 to 24 months (or more, based on work performance, work ethics, and project needs)
  • Job Location: Hybrid-Philadelphia, PA. Office presence required at least three days a week, or more as needed)
  • Contract Rate: $58/hr. on W2.
