Personal Lines Account Executive


Responsibilities:

  • The Personal Lines Account Executive is a key component within agency sales and service with primary responsibilities including consulting, advising, communicating and relationship building between the agency, the agent, the carrier, and the consumer.
  • Will handle quoting, executing new business, assisting in qualifying existing renewals for possible alternative markets, account rounding and underwriting while using discretion and independent judgement.
  • Maintain customer files and ensure proper documentation, by processing all policies, endorsement changes, invoices, binders, certificates of insurance, documentation, activities, etc., according to agency procedures.
  • Respond within a timely manner to customer inquiries, incoming e-mail, mail, and company requests.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications:

  • Michigan Property & Casualty License
  • Existing insurance product knowledge and risk management expertise
  • Advanced coverage knowledge
  • Ability to work completely independently and with minimal direction in soliciting, rating and binding existing or new business
  • Ability to sell and cross sell to customer base
  • Working knowledge of Applied Epic; will consider experience with other agency management systems software
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and instructions

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
