This position provides support for the smooth operation of our Phase 1 mushroom composting process. Safely and efficiently cleaning, organizing, and prepping work area for smooth start up the following morning. Responsible for following all applicable SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)


Working in a team will complete the night sanitation check list which includes but is not limited to:

  • Clean and organize around the Phase I area.
  • Cleaning of the hydro sieve screen and emptying of the overflow container.
  • Cleaning of Mixing Line motors, conveyors, floors, ect.
  • Clean Hoppers, Conveyors, Cassettes and Drain Boxes.
  • Cutting strings on Hoppers and mixing line beaters.
  • Ensure that water valves on hoppers are open to avoid freezing in colder months.
  • Required to report maintenance needs, repairs, and damaged equipment to Management.

Phase I 2nd Shift Sanitation are required to work 6 days per week. They should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled start time and will stay until the work is completed, typically 8.5 hours/ day however will vary depending on production. A 15-minute coffee break is allotted along with a ½ hour for lunch later in the shift. Start time will typically be 1:00pm but can vary depending on production needs.


Requirements/Education:

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Must carry a valid company certification/ license to operate forklifts.
  • Ability to follow directions and perform in a team environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and safely.
  • Ability to keep and transport equipment and/ or material from one area to another in a safe manner.
  • Ability to communicate with Supervisors and Managers.
