JOB SUMMARY

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regional Director or Manager


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide cognitive behavioral family oriented, individual and/or group therapeutic mental health services, medication training, parenting skills training, and case management services to clients of the agency per state specified standards and requirements
  • Document with the understanding that all clinical notations are considered legal documents and can be used in the court of law. All documentation should be true and accurate, and under no circumstance falsified in any manner
  • Monitor service authorizations for clients receiving therapeutic services
  • Provide services according to the efficiency Benchmark standards set by agency
  • Prepare and present all assigned cases for review by supervisor, as required on a monthly basis
  • Attend all team, individual, and agency trainings and meetings as required and scheduled by CFGC management
  • Refer clients to in-house prescribers for medication management and treatment
  • Maintain professional certification and/or licensure, as needed to perform job duties.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and understanding of evidence based clinical social work and/or mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records including evaluations, treatment notes, recovery plans, uniform assessments, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Obey all city, state and federal laws, rules and regulations around confidentiality, Client Rights and HIPPA
  • Perform job responsibilities without violating any ethical, state or federal codes and requirements.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field, a Texas State Board license, and a preferably 3 years of professional experience in Mental Health, Family Counseling, or Social Work.
  • Must have active and current license/certification as LPC/LCSW/LMFT.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting and driving.
