Job DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsible for the preparation and analysis of department variance reports. Assists in the management and reporting of the financial analysis projects. Oversees and assists in the development, preparation, maintenance and control of CS-HHC operating budgets. Responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensures timely implementation and supervises the Financial Analyst on all cost reporting matters.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepares and analyzes department variance reports. Ensures that financial information has been properly recorded.
  • Prepares and maintains cash flows, cash monitoring procedures, budget analysis, financial projections and forecasts.
  • Compiles and analyzes budget variances and present to upper management.
  • Supervises and evaluates assigned personnel in the performance of their required duties. Provides appropriate feedback and conducts timely, fair and accurate performance reviews.
  • Oversees and assists in the development, preparation, maintenance and control of CS-HHC operating budgets.
  • Recommends budget adjustments and other cost reduction measures to department heads.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial expenditure reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepares year-end annual audit schedules and closing.
  • Responsible in the preparation of CS-HHC 990 tax reports as required by the Federal Government.
  • Supervises the Financial Analyst.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years healthcare finance and budgeting experience in a supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of Word and Excel and willingness to learn other software required.
  • Excellent typing skills, organizational skills, ability to pay attention to detail and ability to work well with others are essential.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles/procedures and budgetary practices and analysis.
  • Ability to monitor, audit, reconcile, and balance a variety of budgets, financial data and transactions. Ability to research, analyze and retrieve financial data to prepare accurate reports.
  • Excellent communication skills are needed, both written and verbal.
