Job Summary:
We are in search of a meticulous and highly skilled Wholesale Florist to become an integral part of our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling and arranging flowers, managing inventory, fulfilling customer orders, and ensuring the overall freshness and quality of our products. With over 700 varieties of products, the ability to be accurate and learn our inventory and accounting systems is essential. Working closely with customers, suppliers, and the sales team, the Wholesale Florist will play a crucial role in maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction and achieving business objectives. A wholesaler florist needs to love the interactions between flowers, computers, and people.
Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming flower shipments to uphold quality and freshness standards.
The ability to learn our computer systems (We teach it) and aid the receiving of flowers.
Coordinate and execute the preparation, cutting, and coordination of flowers according to customer orders and industry best practices.
Monitor inventory levels through regular stock checks, order flowers as needed, and ensure optimal storage conditions.
Provide expert guidance to customers on selecting and purchasing flowers, including advice on varieties, arrangements, and seasonal availability.
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our computerized system to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Implement quality control measures to minimize waste, optimize product quality, and maintain presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, equipment, and tools to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Stay informed about industry trends, new flower varieties, and floral design techniques to remain competitive in the market.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for business growth, new product lines, and strategic partnerships.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Wholesale Florist or similar business-to-business role.
Extensive knowledge of various flower types, their characteristics, and care guidelines.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers, suppliers, and team members.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with computerized order management systems and inventory control software.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy boxes, and work in refrigerated environments.
Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
