StarFit Studio is a boutique studio built for women. We specialize in small group and personal training, partnered with nutrition and accountability. Our mission is to create a safe, supportive and fun fitness community that allows women of all ages and ability levels to feel confident and strong.

We have two locations (Arlington & Alexandria) and our third location in Vienna in currently in construction.

Each location is small, which allows the staff to build lasting personal relationships with each client and really make a difference in their lives.

Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate trainers to join our growing team. You will be coaching small group classes (up to 8 clients) and training private clients.

StarFit is a growing small business with plenty of career advancement opportunities and unique opportunities for the right candidate. Our ideal candidate is a career trainer looking for opportunities to grow within the system and looking for 20+ weekly training hours.

  • Group Coaching: You will be coaching small groups of up to 8 clients at a time. These sessions provide the best of both worlds- the ability to actually train and engage individually with clients combined with the energy and fun of a group class. The training sessions focus on functional full body strength training and conditioning.
    • Key Responsibilities
      • Ensure each client leaves feeling happy, accomplished and empowered
      • Use a variety of training cues (verbal, tactile, visual) while demonstrating exercises and working with clients on their form
      • Ensure each client has scaling options
      • Build rapport and personal relationships with clients
      • Keep a clean, well organized studio floor
      • Lead with professionalism in all interactions
      • Manage attendance in Mindbody
      • Session setup/breakdown
    • Our group training sessions are shift based so you will always have four back to back training sessions. See timeframes below:
      • Mon-Fri: 6:30am-10:30am
      • Mon-Thurs: 4:30-8:30pm
      • Saturday: 8am-noon
  • Personal/Private Group Training:
    • Key Responsibilities:
      • Provide goal setting sessions and full body composition analysis (InBody Scan)
      • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs based on each client's goals and current fitness levels
      • Manage schedule in Mindbody

Job Requirements:

  • You must be a Certified Personal Trainer. We will not consider candidates who are not certified.
  • CPR/AED Certified
  • Must have availability between 6am-10:30am and 4pm-8:30pm
  • Must be able to train a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Ability to work with all fitness levels and be comfortable with exercise modifications to prioritize client safety.
  • Have reliable transportation (our studio locations are not metro accessible)
  • Have a passion for health/fitness and the desire to help clients
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • You must be dependable and able to work independently
