JOB TITLE: Aircraft Assembly Mechanic - Aircraft Sheetmetal Experience

LOCATION: Kinston, NC

PAY RATE: $34.00 per hour

Summary:

  • The Company will provide training to ensure employees can perform essential job functions, including:

  • Assemble and install parts according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders.

  • Complete necessary data transactions to support assembly progress.

  • Perform manual and automated assembly operations, including machine functions.

  • Conduct pickup, rework, fabrication, and testing during or after assembly.

  • Move and obtain parts, materials, tools, and assemblies as needed.

  • Use precision measuring instruments for work assignments.

  • Report and investigate issues like part errors, assembly procedures, or tool problems.

  • Perform basic machine maintenance, such as replacing filters and maintaining lubrication.

  • Move products within the manufacturing area and facilitate their progress to the next operation.

  • Support continuous product flow by training and assisting other employees.

  • Document discrepancies according to specifications and procedures.

  • Cross-train in inspection and obtain SIA qualification.

  • Employees may be asked to take on additional duties as required, with training provided.

Required Skills:

  • Local candidates preferred.

  • Standard per diem of $110/week for those who qualify.

  • Primarily 2nd shift, but must be flexible to work any shift, including overtime/weekends.

  • Must be able to stand and work for the entire 8-hour shift.

  • Verify part dimensions using mechanical and electronic tools, and address issues by initiating corrective actions.

  • Must have the skills to perform all general functions of an Assembly Technician.
