Silver Palm Technologies, a BlackSignal Technologies company, is a seeking an accomplished Senior RF Engineer with expertise in a variety of RF systems including, tuner design, filter design, switching systems, novel component level amplifier design, and ADC/DAC interfaces for SIGINT and EW applications.

 

As a Senior RF Engineer at Silver Palm Technologies you will be a key player in the conception, design, development, and optimization of novel RF systems and subsystems. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of RF engineering principles.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize novel RF components and subsystem from requirements to prototype concepts, system design, technical evaluation, and integration
  • Analyze RF performance throughout the design timeline with software tools and lab equipment with emphasis on signal integrity, noise figure, intercept points, insertion loss, return loss etc.
  • Oversee and contribute to the creation of comprehensive project documentation, including schematics, specifications, production design guidelines, and test plans.
  • Evaluate and select electrical components for both DSP and RF applications, implementing novel solutions and using state of the art components
  • Design and/or oversee the design of high complexity mixed signals PCB and high frequency RF layouts
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and other engineering teams to integrate ADC/DAC, FPGA, microprocessor, and RF components seamlessly into overall project designs.
  • Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers. Share expertise and contribute to the professional development of the engineering team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10-20 years of experience in RF engineering, with specific emphasis on Microwave Tuners, Phase lock loops, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, Mixer, Filters, up and down converters, as well as ADCs/DACs, and FPGA interfaces.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools for schematic drawing, RF system design and time domain analysis.
  • Experience in component evaluation, vendor collaboration, and project leadership.
  • Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
