Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Business and Technical Alignment
  • Works proactively to take requirements and modify or develop applications while identifying all critical interfaces and address any impact in user testing and implementation
  • Plans, organizes, and implements technical projects and solutions following the Change Management process. Create required documentation /evidence for enhancements or new applications systems with expertise and experience in the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle).
  • Ensures timely and effective feedback for customer issues and requests while providing recommendations for enhancements or changes to correct or minimize support issues.
  • Provides 24 X 7 on-call support for existing Indiana Harbor east side slab subsystems including but not limited to production recording, Quality Assessment, logistics, conditioning, Reap secondary slab sales, slab applications, and slab interplant and outside shipping.
  • Support and development of online and batch applications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Processes good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of steelmaking systems a plus.
Minimum Experience Requirement: 2 or more years’ experience in ADABAS/Natural programming language3 or more years utilizing the SDLC process in software development2 or more years’ experience in a Steel manufacturing environmentPreferred Experience: 5+ years exp in Adabas/Natural for Windows and DB22+ years exp with JCL/JES3, SQL3+ years exp in Project Management; and demonstrated good leadership, communication, organizational and teamwork skillsEducational Requirement:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
