What?
The Manufacturer Assistance Supervisor position involves overseeing day-to-day shift manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and morale objectives. This front-line role focuses on maintaining overall equipment efficiency through individual and team efforts, with a significant amount of time spent in production areas.
Main aspects of the role include:
- Ensure a safe, productive, and respectful work environment, enforcing safety practices and company policies.
- Supervise production activities to meet schedules, facilitating effective shift handoffs and communication.
- Manage raw materials and inventory to maintain production schedules, communicating issues promptly to leaders and vendors.
- Coordinate daily staffing, schedules, and labor requirements, overseeing attendance records alongside a supervisor.
- Train and coach employees, promoting positive relations and fostering innovation and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with site leaders and departments, conduct team meetings, drive improvement, and ensure compliance with EEO regulations.
You
Ideal candidate for Manufacturer Assistance Supervisor role should have 2 years' manufacturing experience, related 2-year degree or equivalent, food/pharma industry experience, leadership/people management skills, knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations and HACCP principles, strong communication/interpersonal skills, strategic thinking ability, proficiency in Microsoft Office, willingness to become forklift certified, and flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and overtime.
