Job Title: Outpatient Dialysis CWR
Location: Neptune, NJ

Hours Per Week: 40 hours

Hours Per Day: 8 hours

Days Per Week: 5 days

Schedule Notes:

  • Shift Times: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM; 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM as needed
  • Combination of 8, 10, 12, or 16-hour shifts may be required based on needs.
  • Every other weekend required.
  • Holidays required as needed.
  • No on-call requirement.
  • Float Requirement: Brick unit in Ocean County.
Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Outpatient Dialysis is responsible for evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, and managing dialysis treatments in an outpatient setting. The RN will develop and coordinate individualized care plans, perform therapeutic interventions, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Duties:
  • Patient Care Management: Evaluate patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care based on individual needs and clinical priorities.
  • Assessment and Documentation: Initiate assessments, develop care plans, and document care according to standards and patient acuity.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Perform and manage dialysis treatments, including the use of Fresenius T Machines and portable RO units.
  • Care Coordination: Develop and coordinate individualized care plans, including managing patient assignments and providing care based on evidence-based practices.
  • Float Requirement: Provide care in the Brick unit in Ocean County as needed.
  • Patient Interaction: Communicate with patients and their families, address concerns, and provide education about treatments and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with a team of PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) to manage patient assignments and ensure high-quality care.
  • Compliance: Adhere to policies and standards of practice, including BLS certification and state licensure requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year prior experience in an outpatient dialysis center.
  • Minimum of 1 year prior experience with ICH Dialysis.
  • Knowledge of Fresenius T Machines and portable RO units.
  • Ability to manage multiple patient assignments and collaborate with PCTs.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Prior telemetry and chronic hemodialysis experience.
  • Experience managing a 9-patient assignment with 2 PCTs for medications and assessments.
Education:
  • Required Education: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)
  • Preferred Education: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Certifications & Licensure:
  • Required Certifications & Licensure:
    • BLS - AHA (American Heart Association Basic Life Support)
    • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
  • Preferred Certifications & Licensure: N/A
