THE ROLE

As a Heating and Plumbing Dispatcher, your day begins by reviewing the service schedule and dispatching our skilled technicians to various plumbing and heating calls. You're the maestro of the dispatch board, ensuring maximum efficiency without compromising on client satisfaction. Throughout the day, you communicate with clients, notifying them of any schedule changes and coordinating with our purchasing and warehouse coordinator to ensure technicians have all the necessary parts.

An excellent organizer, you stay on top of the schedule, making quick decisions to compress call times and boost productivity. After each job, you debrief technicians and ensure payments are collected promptly. By the end of the day, you've kept everything running smoothly, ensuring our clients are happy and our technicians are productive.


THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable and flexible with hours
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Professional presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a professional and technical level
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong English composition skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and working knowledge of email systems
  • Ability to develop tools that create efficiencies within the department

Preferred:

  • Associate degree
  • Bilingual

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A HEATING AND PLUMBING DISPATCHER

This full-time dispatch position typically works more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day.
