POSITION SUMMARY:

At Kenneth Copeland Ministries, we believe the written Word of God has the power to change people’s lives We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative thinker with excellent writing and communication skills to be our full-time, in-house copywriter. As a member of the creative team, the copywriter will write and edit content for a variety of projects (emails, blog posts, newsletter, social media, ads and more), working closely with the Partner Development Manager, Sr. Content Editor and Strategist, as well as other team members, to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts and articulate messaging. The most successful candidate will be passionate about our message with an eagerness to embrace versatility in writing. The position is onsite.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Write clear, compelling copy for various mediums (emails, blog posts, newsletter, social media, texts, ads, publications, etc.) with the distinct voice of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Victory Channel, KCBC and EMIC
  • Produce well-written content that is SEO friendly and optimized for calls to action and conversions
  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  • Participate in the creative process of content creation to provide writing concept ideas to support various communications and Partner development campaigns
  • Research and understand project’s needs and target audience by listening to teachings, reading transcripts, books, etc.
  • Collaborate with creative team members on large- and small-scale campaigns.
  • Revise copy based on internal feedback
  • Edit and proofread copy from other writers as needed
  • Source images and other content for campaigns
  • Adhere to AP and in-house style guides
  • Work closely with Sr. Editor and Content strategist to manage content campaigns and projects in Wrike
  • Help support the publication of digital content on social media, text and email as needed
  • Holds a strong working knowledge of the KCM mission and stays adept to ministry teachings
  • Participates in the annual Southwest Believers’ Convention
  • Furthers knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars, and shares best practices and tactics with the team
Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • BA or BS degree preferred in English, journalism, marketing or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong research skills
  • Creativity
  • Collaborative spirit
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, as well as multitasking abilities
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume of workload often requiring short turnaround times
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and writing trends for varying mediums
  • Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • PC Computer, comfortable chair

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard office environment.
  • Must be flexible regarding the physical location of work area.

OTHER:

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties or divisions.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
  • Membership and attendance at EMIC are preferred
