We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Daytime Snorkel Boat Captain to join our team and help us continue to deliver extraordinary experiences.

Position Overview: As a Daytime Boat Captain, you will be responsible for operating our snorkeling boat safely and efficiently, leading guided snorkeling tours, and ensuring a top-notch experience for our guests. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for marine life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Boat: Safely navigate and operate a 14 passenger capacity zodiac boat, ensuring smooth departures, arrivals, and in-water activities.
• Lead Tours: Conduct engaging and informative snorkeling tours, providing guests with insights into marine life, safety guidelines, and environmental conservation.
• Ensure Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including pre-trip safety briefings, emergency procedures, and first aid as needed.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on the boat to ensure it remains in excellent working condition. Ensure boat is fueled before and after shifts.
• Environmental Stewardship: Promote responsible snorkeling practices and environmental awareness to protect marine ecosystems.

Qualifications:

• Certification: U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License (OUPV or higher) required. First Aid/CPR
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience as a boat captain, with a focus on snorkeling or similar water-based tours preferred.
• Skills: Strong navigation skills, ability to handle various weather conditions, and experience in marine safety and first aid.
• Communication: Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving equipment, and assisting guests in and out of the water.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with local marine life and ecosystems preferred.

Schedule:

• Hours: This is a part time position (approx 32 hours per week) with daytime shifts. Flexible scheduling required to accommodate peak seasons and customer demand.
• Location: Keauhou Bay
