Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThompson Welding has a great opportunity for an experienced Layout/Fitter. We are currently seeking a full time Layout/Fitter. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is familiar with Layout and Fitting and has experience reading and interrupting plans/drawings.
Layout/Fitter is responsible for layout, fitting, tacking. Layout/Fitter should be able to use various equipment like welders, punch, pipe benders, saws, torch, plasma cutter, shear, grinders. Attendance is very important, candidate must be punctual and have a good attendance track record. Must pay attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Must have 3 - 5 years' experience in layout/fitting.
• Must be able to read and interrupt plans.
• Ability to layout and tack items together.
• Candidate will be working with structural steel and misc. metals.
• Must be able to operate saws, punch, shear, welders, grinders, torch, plasma cutter, pipe bender and various other equipment.

The pay rate will depend on the candidate's qualifications, prior work experience, and skill set.
