Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Toddler and Preschool Resource/Floating Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our toddler and preschool educators and ensuring a nurturing and enriching environment for our young learners. This position involves assisting in the classroom, covering teachers during breaks, and providing valuable support to ensure the smooth operation of our preschool program.

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Assistance:

- Collaborate with lead teachers to create a stimulating and safe learning environment for preschool children.

- Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote child development.

- Support in classroom management and behavior guidance, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

Teacher Break Coverage:

- Step in for lead teachers during their breaks, ensuring the continued supervision and care of preschool students.

- Follow the provided lesson plans and maintain consistency in the daily routine.

- Address any immediate concerns or issues that may arise during teacher breaks.

Individualized Support:

- Provide one-on-one or small group support to children who may require additional assistance in various areas, such as academics, social skills, or emotional development.

- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and promote their overall growth.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Maintain open and effective communication with lead teachers, staff, and parents/guardians to ensure a holistic approach to child development.

- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and workshops as required.

Classroom Organization:

- Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped classroom environment.

- Assist with setting up and organizing materials, supplies, and resources for various activities.

Safety and Compliance:

- Always ensure the safety and well-being of preschool students.

- Follow all school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a relevant degree or coursework in early childhood education is preferred.

- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting is highly desirable.

- Passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in the growth and development of young children.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.

- Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing attitude.

- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

- Background checks and clearances in accordance with local regulations.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift to 30 pounds.

- Willingness to engage in active play and movement with preschool children.
