Cleaning Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dust and clean ceiling vents, surface areas, and counter surfaces
• Performs general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors
• Uses vacuuming equipment; vacuums and cleans carpets, performs further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
• Dispose of trash from bins and containers
• Polish furniture and room accessories as needed
• Scrubs sinks, basins, and toilets in private and public bathrooms
• Cleans windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
• Maintains and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products
• Ensures safe and sanitary storage and care of products
• Keeps all public spaces neat.
• Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on the job
• Ensures that all company standards for cleanliness are met consistently
• Adheres to strict health and safety requirements
• Utilize cleaning practices that protect equipment and furniture
• Interacts with customers as needed, including dealing with reasonable requests and complaints with professionalism and patience
• Work well with the broader cleaning team
• Report and return lost property
• Replaces toiletries
• Performs other cleaning tasks in rooms, halls, and bathrooms

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience cleaning preferred; training will be provided
• Ability to follow verbal directions
• Ability to work well alone and with a partner or team
• Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
• Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines; excellent time management skills
• Pays attention to detail when cleaning
• Organized and able to follow a schedule
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience; or knowledge, skills, and mental ability equivalent to 2 years of high school education
• Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during the daily routine, with the ability to stand for extended lengths of time; physically able to push vacuum cleaner for extended periods; ability to lift 25 to 30 pounds
• General knowledge of cleaning products, supplies, and techniques for cleaning
• Able to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
