Body Shop Writer

Job Summary

We are looking for a customer service-oriented Body Shop Writer to join our team at Ed Rinke Chevrolet Buick GMC. As a Body Shop Writer, you will inform customers of relevant automotive repair services and their prices, advise customers on selections and create written estimates of service required and the total costs for the repairs. The Body Shop Writer will work full time—base plus commission— and will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation for this position will range from $50000 to $110000 per year, paid weekly. Responsibilities

•Educate customers on automotive repair processes and services
•Inform customers of prices for services
•Advise customers of selections and recommended services
•Write estimates of service needed and total costs
•Handle pricing disputes and pricing changes
•Oversee vehicle progress throughout body shop
•Interact with mechanics, cashiers, and other customer service personnel
•Input customer information into an Automated Computer System
•Increase customer satisfaction and loyalty
•Greet customers in an organized and professional manner
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Requirements

•Knowledge of automotive repair services and procedures
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
•Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
•Excellent customer service and communication skills
•Ability to maintain focus in a sometimes-noisy environment
•Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
•Proficiency in using an Automated Computer System
•High school diploma or GED equivalent
