The Production Lead must monitor employees in his/her line area on a daily basis, instruct them how to perform their duties, and ensure safety standards and good housekeeping practices are maintained. Performing production duties will also be a large component of this position, including the operation of equipment

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • . Line Lead personnel effectively to facilitate safe working conditions that produce a safe, quality product.
  • Responsible for facilitating the productivity in his/her line area.
  • Responsible of performing duties of a General Labor position and operating equipment on his/her line in his/her area.
  • Responsible to perform theoretical yields and line reports, as well as, coordinate Logistics Forklift Driver to determine raw product utilization for product line runs.
  • Shall be capable of effectively communicating with employees of all levels, which includes communicating with respect, asking questions, and appropriately coaching employees for improvement.
  • Shall be capable of deciding if a safety hazard possesses an immediate threat and requires the line to be shut down.
  • 7. Perform other duties (such as basic housekeeping) as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • Stand for the duration of the shift (8 hours or more).
  • Bend continuously throughout the shift.
  • Work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Able to work 6 consecutive days, overtime and weekends as necessary.
  • Work repetitively and performing repetitive motions for the duration of the shift.
  • Able to climb stairs or step up onto a platform several times throughout the shift.

Other Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • English/Spanish

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of related experience

Education/Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
