POSITION PURPOSE:

To manually set up, break down, and service all meeting rooms and guest needs in accordance with Hilton's high standards of quality.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Set up all meeting rooms to the specifications of the guest. This includes considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting rooms.

  • Review BEO's and assign tasks to Banquet Housemen to ensure work is done in a timely manner.

• Stage the meeting room appropriately to be visually appealing to guests to include special props.

• Visually inspect function rooms and equipment prior to functions for cleanliness, proper inventory, and set up. Anticipate items needed if not specifically noted and check with sales manager (trash can, coat rack, etc.)

• Supply and replenish meeting rooms during breaks with clean glasses, water, food and amenities as needed. Remove debris and tidy areas to be neat and clean.

• Communicate with meeting point of contact to review timeline of events and assist with any audio visual needs throughout shift.

• Break down meeting rooms when meetings have concluded, return equipment to storage closet, and vacuum so the room will be available to be reset for the next function. Report any damaged items.

• Take initiative to set up, clean, and organize storage rooms.

• Maintain established cleaning schedule of all meeting rooms and ballrooms so meeting rooms stay presentable at all times.

• Verbally communicate, in a calm, positive demeanor, during the course of the function with the kitchen, service, beverage, and engineering staffs, as well as the guest host to ensure timely execution of events and quality service. Carry working radio throughout shift.

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to inform your location and coordinate plan to service meeting rooms. If work complete, ask for work during down times and remain productive.

• Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to be aware of the work.


Full-Time

$17-$20 per hour
