Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position (Hourly)
Location: Ridgewood, New York
Salary Range: $17-$19/hr

Job Summary
Our Inbound/Outbound Associates are the thread that brings our business together. This position requires a detailed eye to ensure all packages are correctly inbounded and outbounded according to Hemster’s standards. While the primary focus of this role will be in Inbound/Outbound, we will also cross train you to float between roles based on where the business need is.

This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by Inbound/Outbound Associates at Hemster. Is not intended to include all duties, responsibilities and qualifications. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Keep a safe work environment by maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Process, sort and organize incoming shipments
• Uses Inbound Station View to check order into the Hemster Product
• Examines, flags and notes any garment or order discrepancies
• All incoming orders should be processed, uploaded and prepared for the patterning station in a timely manner
• Uses Hemster Product to match each garment with the corresponding order information displayed in the system
• Organizes each garment into its correct order group
• Prints the corresponding packing slip for each order
• Ensures all QC inspected garments are correctly matched by order number into the order matching bins by end of workday
• Cross reference the packing slip against the product information and shipping label to ensure the correct order and garment are being sent to the right customer
• Prints shipping labels and packages the orders
• Finalizes the order as “Complete” in Hemster Product
• Ensures all completed orders are packaged and ready for shipping by end of each day
• Ensure Hemster’s standard for efficiency, accuracy and quality are always met for all inbound/outbound activities
• Replenishes Inbound/Outbound station with required Hemster supplies.
• Willingness to multitask throughout stations if needed.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Process, sort and organize incoming shipments
• Ability to navigate the Hemster online portal
• Ensures efficiency, accuracy and quality are met for all inbound/outbound related activities
• Strong organization skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve any outstanding issues
• Basic computer and printer knowledge
• Experience using shipping platforms such as Shipstation

Physical Requirements:
While performing this job an Inbound/Outbound Associate is regularly required to stand, sit, reach, and kneel. Physical ability to lift and move 50lbs. Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position.  This position is eligible for overtime.  Work hours are typically 40 hours a week, Monday thru Friday.
