  • Certified Nurse in the Operating Room (CNOR) through the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) is required.
  • Completion of required clinical experience during education process is required Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
  • Possess manual dexterity for nursing/assisting skills.
  • Maintains current knowledge of nursing practices/procedures related to care of surgical patients.
  • Ability to foster good working relationships with other departments and OR staff members, and to work closely with all members of the peri-operative team, physicians, patients/families, etc. to assure optimal peri-operative nursing care.
  • Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity Level of Physical Demands
