Pavement Marking Technicians

Shift and Time: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Day Shift (Overtime Available)

Summary: Pavement Marking Technicians/Operators are responsible for assisting with the layout and application of pavement markings, including painting and installing linear and transverse markings on city streets and city-owned parking facilities. They operate and maintain specialized paint striping trucks and equipment used for painting lines on streets and parking areas. They perform manual labor that often requires mechanical skills. Additionally, Operators/Technicians also use various tools and small equipment to complete temporary markings following road construction and parking lot resurfacing.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have valid CDL Class A with valid medical card. Working knowledge of DOT regulations. Mechanical and computer knowledge is a plus.

Essential Functions:
• Paint and install linear and transverse markings.
• Operate and maintain specialized paint striping trucks and equipment.
• Perform manual labor requiring mechanical skills.
• Use various tools and small equipment to complete temporary markings after road construction and parking lot resurfacing.
• Load materials and operate/drive haul trucks and paint trucks.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, crew members, and clients.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safe operation.
