•Prepare patients for dental procedures by providing a comfortable environment.

•Take and record patient medical and dental histories.

•Assist patients with any concerns or questions they might have about their treatment.

Clinical Assistance:

•Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.

•Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, such as holding instruments and suctioning.

•Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required and ensure they are properly processed.

•Prepare and mix dental materials, such as fillings and impression materials.

Administrative Tasks:

•Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is complete.

Infection Control:

•Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.

•Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards for infection control.

Laboratory Duties:

•Take impressions and prepare models for use in dental procedures.

•Assist in the fabrication of dental prosthetics and appliances, such as crowns or dentures.

Education and Communication:

•Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

•Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions.

Equipment Maintenance:

•Operate and maintain dental equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.

•Report any malfunctions or repairs needed to the appropriate personnel.

Emergency Procedures:

•Be prepared to handle dental emergencies and assist in providing first aid if necessary.

Team Collaboration:

•Work closely with the dentist, dental hygienists, and other team members to ensure efficient patient care and smooth operation of the dental practice.

Professional Development:

•Stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures through continuing education and training.
