Summary

Allwein Carpet One is looking for an experienced Tile mechanic to lead a ceramic installation crew. We've been in this industry and community for over 40 years. Duties

  • Load and Unload job materials
  • Removal of existing flooring, backsplashes, shower enclosures, etc.
  • Minor construction / plumbing / electrical skills
  • Work with sales and estimating team to meet customers expectations
  • Lay out floor / wall pattern as predetermined by the design consultant
  • Set and grout tiles on floors, walls, showers, ceilings
  • Install Schluter Shower systems
  • Install Ditra, Ditra XL, and Ditra Heat membrane
  • Install Ditra Heat cables
  • Keep a neat jobsite
  • Maintain tools and installation truck (provided by Allwein Carpet One)
  • Communicate with the customers daily regarding layout, job progress, etc.
  • Help guide and train helpers


Requirements

  • Valid Driver's license
  • Hand Tools
  • Experience with tile, Schluter materials, shower installation, grouting using all types of grouts
  • Able to work alone or with a team
  • Self-Motivated
  • Good Time Management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, designers and co-workers
