GENERAL SUMMARY

The Shipping associate is responsible for unloading packaged product off the line and properly stacking them on pallets; lifting freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights; safely operate heavy equipment; safely walk, reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat & kneel as necessary to perform the job duties. Properly stage, store and handle material in the appropriate areas and complete paperwork with attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Receive product, stack product correctly on pallet in a timely manner.
  2. Place material in proper storage locations and secure in accordance with safe storage, stacking, or palletizing methods.
  3. Ensure EVA WIP area is clean, organized and stocked appropriately.
  4. Safely operate forklift and warehouse equipment at all times.
  5. Ability to interface with and use computer, scanner, shipping software, as well as a random automatic case sealer.
  6. Able to work a flexible schedule and as many as 12 hours in a day, including any of the shifts (day, evening, night and weekend).
  7. Prompt daily attendance at assigned work location.
  8. Requires skill and ability to work in the warehouse, storing/ pulling and checking in material.
  9. Locate and stage material for delivery by company truck or for pickup by customers.
  10. Consolidate, organize, and manage pallet storage on site. Stage and wrap Supplier boxes for return to the supplier.
  11. Periodically examine stored material and report any deterioration or damage.
  12. Maintain warehouse in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
  13. Able to lift extremely heavy in rare instances (up to 80 pounds), awkward products to store in or remove from the warehouse, or load and unload onto a truck.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Positive can-do attitude.
  2. Be able to successfully pass a Valid OSHA approved forklift certification (company training provided). Must be able to operate a forklift and hand jack.
  3. Experience operating a forklift preferred but not required.


REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Plant, and outside environments on occasion.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

  1. Reports to Warehouse Supervisor.
  2. Interacts and partners regularly with other departments, vendors, and customers.
